It was Richard Schaefer again. He has breaking news for the Fight Freaks. Told me to tell the Freaks that today he finalized Adrien Broner vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon at 130 pounds. It will be on the March 5 Canelo-Hatton undercard on HBO. Done

Not sure if this is new news or not.

    Thought I'd post it anyway.

This is a solid fight. I've heard good things about Broner. Who does he fight like/How does he fight?

          I got Brohner.

          Hes naturally much bigger.

Hes fought as high as 140 and hes fought at 135 and above numerous times.

          Pounce has never seen 130.

And hes fought most of his career at 122.

          Brohner is faster as well.

          Pounce's only advantage is experience.

          Power is a ? at 130.

From what I've seen, Broner tries to counter punch pretty much every punch his opponent throws with solid timing, really good reflexes and hand speed. His foot speed/footwork and somewhat lack of head movement remind me of Alexander and Berto.

It'll hurt him in the future, but I don't know if PDL wil be the one to do it. PDL adding footwork and shortening up his punches might be able to catch him though and if he does, the kid could be seeing the canvas.

It seems a little early for this kid, **** it though let's see if the kid is the goods or PDL is that much better.

this is a good fight, they are putting the kid in deep waters so its sink or swim. from what i have seen of broner he has that star quality about him, he is blessed with natural ability, good speed and reflexes but more importaint he has a passion and a love for this game thats hard to find. he slaps with his left hook a little too much but other than that he is a blue-chip prospect
