i haven't seen a fighter absorb that kind of punishment in a long time. most newbs will stand up and say corrales castillo had more punishment but I disagree. this jones guy was hitting wayne much much harder with that straight right hand and right hook than either chico or castillo was doing to each other, and I know it's a different weight category, but we've all seen those featherweight fights where they are landing heavyweight caliber shots

but yea, that was ****in brutal yo. you can tell how hard the shot is by the sound of the glove hitting the cranium and those were some ****ing hard punches.

that was kinda sickening the way jones kept clubbing him with that right hand in the corner, almost made me question my involvement in the sport

i mean, that was almost brutal to the level of UFC 1 where the guy is ground and pounding some guy already ko'd

It was insane I thought Big Truck would mow over this guy...I didnt know much about him but the fact that he had came from welterweight to cruiser had me skeptical of his ability to damage but I mean damn imagine a 6'3 welterweight?...Anyways I wasnt expecting much but he completely dominated Brathwaite and I wouldnt have been surprised if the fight would have been stopped in the first. Big Wayne on the ropes just eating rights was pretty devastating especially since like all of them were flush...Brathwaite has a strong chin but for him to say Jones doesnt hit hard is absurd those shots sounded pretty stiff....

...another reason why Big Truck shouldn't blame the ref for the later stoppage. He gave him the benefit of the doubt in Round 1, which I thought was an easy 10-8 round...

his chin is horrible. big truck was against the ropes half the fight dazed and against jones he couldnt stop the right. not only does he not have a chin, hes dumb. if mormeck had height the fight would'nt have lasted 12 rds.

he hits really hard , he stopped decent fighters . when facing good , and io say good not great , fighters he gets dominated , either outworked by mormeck or eating a right hand mania by jones .

yea, i agree, round 1 was a lucky one for Braithewaithe, although he certainly owned the second and third. The stoppage was debatable though, as during the replay it was found that the final two right hands didn't even land.

Braithewaithe is a talented guy though, and hopefully he'll bounce back.
