    fight someone, doesn't matter who
get off the shelf and fight already
    John lost in the shuffle
long as Gamboa and Juanma not fighting, go for one of them

I remember his people saying that they want to stay at featherweight, as they believe there's more money to be made there. However, he's been at featherweight a long time, I would think it'd be in his best interest to move up in weight.

I think he still has to "unify" with Gamboa at some point. I think fight news had an article about he and Gamboa were going to take a fight or two before they actually got it on. However, John stated he'd want it in Indonesia.

Yeah like a year ago he was accepted as the main man at 126, now without even losing he has taken a back burner to JuanMa and a 19 fight rookie just because he is so inactive.

I agree. A fight against either Lopez or Gamboa would be awesome. He could become lineal champ at Featherweight, and then move up in weight.

But then again, he could move up in weight now and he'd easily be able to beat the current SFW champs (Fana, Burns, Uchiyama). Then he could wait for Gamboa and Lopez to move up in weight to challenge him there.

I'm not so sure he'd be able to beat Uchiyama so easily. Granted Uchiyama hasn't faced anyone on John's level, but I believe Uchiyama has the tools to stop John. He sets his offense up well and has shown to be heavy handed. He applies pressure, but it's pretty smart, and technical, not like Rocky Martinez.

I have some reservations about him, but I think Uchiyama may be the best at SFW.

He may well be the best current SFW because I think he beats Burns. I also think Burns beats Fana too. However The Ring have Fana and Burns at number 1 and 2 respectively.

They do, but in terms of skills and talent, he's the best IMO.

Burns was able to beat Martinez, but he, Martinez, is the epitome of crude. He would've had his head taken off by Uchiyama that night, IMO.

I dunno if john can beat gamboa or juanma. he can try his hand, but imho he might lose.

therefore, he might be better off waiting for them to move up in weight and then john can fight guys moving up from 122 and lower like donaire.
