I dont know why people dont know about this. I remember that night. American TV were already turned off by Witter after the Zab performance. Witter bottled his chance as he usually tends to do.

yea but witter started looking impressive around the time he became european champ in 2003/2004. there was a good 2 year period before hatton fought tzyu when they should have fought each other.



hatton defo ducked him. witters style would have given hatton kittens, hatton was so one dimensional (and i'm a mancunian and a man city fan).

it would have been the same result as the mayweather fight but earlier in his career.

Warren has no reason to lie in Hatton's favour, if anything it would be the opposite, they're far from friends. I'd venture that he's just telling it as it was.

It's ok saying hatton should of fought witter over this or that fighter but you got to remember is Ricky was going down the ibf route! Which would get him into a position to fight the man in the division which was ultimately tszyu! If I remember rightly witter wasn't rated by the ibf so it made no sense. Plus by all accounts witter was demanding career best pay days to fight hatton who was packing out the men at wbu level and witter couldn't fill a 2000 seat Ice arena fighting Harris
