According to reports in Ukraine, there is some disucssion about a possible clash between former WBA welterweight champion Yuri Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs), and 2008 Olympic gold medal winner Felix Diaz (8-0, 5 KO ) of the Dominican Republic. Nuzhnenko's promoter Vadim Bukhkalov is telling overseas outlets that his boxer and the management of Diaz have agreed to many of the contract details. Diaz is going to fight on March 11 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. It doesn't yet appear clear if Diaz-Nuzhnenko would take place on that card, or another.

I am no genius and I don't know much about this Yuri character but seems to me like Felix Diaz might just be a little too green for this fight. Why would they want to (all of a sudden) jump Diaz like this? The guy has 8 fights for goodness sakes! Well, let's see what happens but as a fan of Diaz I don't like it. I don't think he is ready.

I am no genius and I don't know much about this Yuri character but seems to me like Felix Diaz might just be a little too green for this fight. Why would they want to (all of a sudden) jump Diaz like this? The guy has 8 fights for goodness sakes! Well, let's see what happens but as a fan of Diaz I don't like it. I don't think he is ready.

On second thought (after looking at some vid on youtube) this guy seems like no threat at all to Diaz.....GO FOR IT!!!
