Top Rank promotion is interested in signing Joan Guzman

I have learn from a close source that Top Rank is very interested in Guzman after his suspension is over and offer to help him though it claim that Guzman has a mental issue since his mother passing and is willing to seek help but some people just dont recover from losing someone that close to you so I wish him the best of luck cant wait to see what come out of this.

sadly it might be a little too late. Guzman is 34 years old now. He's going to be suspended for at least 6-9 months (Ali Funeka was suspended for 9 months for the same thing for comparison), so he'll be 35 at the very least before he fights again. HBO probably will never touch him again, so he'll be stuck to Top Rank PPV undercards. By the time he could possibly work his way back up, which is a tough task, he'll be 36-37 years old, and by then he'll lose the things that make him great - speed and his reflexes. He has no power so once those things start to slip, and I think they already have a bit, he just wont be nearly as good as he once was.

They shouldn't bother. The man is basically done. He is suspended and his head is just not right for the game.

Guzman is garbage and doesn't deserve the privilege of being a prizefighter

he should get a regular job...that way, he can eat as much as he wants and not waste people's time

Guzman's best days are long gone.

Shame Joan had alot of talent and skills and could of accomplished more with focus & discipline.
