Wladimir would give him more problems IMO. Quicker hands and the better right hand, which is straight, quick, and powerful. Holmes could be pretty vulnerable to that punch. Weaver hurt him with it, Snipes dropped and hurt him with it. Shavers as well, but that was more of an overhand right. I remember Atlas or Rooney talking about how Tyson was a teenage amateur and how Cus was talking about how Tyson would fight Holmes. Cus felt you could time him with the straight right hand. Tyson eventually did this when they fought, but of course Holmes was not the same fighter he had once been.
Holmes would have more problems and then come on strong to stop Wladimir in the mid to late rounds.
I don't think Holmes would stop Vitali, but I don't think he'd have as many rough moments as he would if he fought Wlad. I can definitely see Holmes getting rocked or dropped from Wlad's right hand.

Yeah I'm probably in the minority that thinks Wlad gives him more problems than his brother (even if, like you say, Larry goes on to stop him.) Compared to Vitali, Wlad has the much better jab, harder right hand and left hook, significant edge in handspeed and better control of distance/defense.
I think Wlad matches up better with the Holmes/Ali types (not saying he beats either) and Vitali the Foreman/Liston types (again, not saying he beats either.)

Good stuff man! I'm with you, But I can definelty see holms giving the bros the business!
I see Holmes outboxing both guys easily. Holmes had arguebly the best jab ever, with a sharp right hand that would find both brothers chin with ease. His good footwork would keep him out of harms way. I think he tko's Wlad and stops Vitali on cuts.
Wladimir has one of the best jabs in hw history, despite all the hate he gets. And he also has a significant height advantage, and a slight reach advantage.
Holmes jab is what it is. Topnotch.
Could see it going both ways depending on who gets the momentum.

Larry's footwork could give the brothers complications! I can see Larry pull a nice KO! But I see it going both ways
