No, Vitali's been a great hw champion since he came outa retirement. He's never backed down from a challenge and he fights on a relatively frequent basis, plus I find him fun to watch. Solis took the path of least resistance to a title shot and looked like *****e in his last outing. In fact Solis' style is a carbon copy of Aurther Abrahams'- uses a high guard, blocks lots of punches and only fights in spurts and very boring...
It's not exactly like Abraham's. Solis stalks forward far more and tends to let his hands go from the first round, albeit with single shots that are mostly counters. Abraham prefers to maintain the centre of the ring, and pretty much does nothing until he feels he's got the measure of his opponent's timing.
I'd also counter that Abraham is very boring. His power is a great equalizer and there's always an element of tension in his fights, especially when they go into the late rounds and he begins to unload more. Solis is pretty hard puncher, but nowhere near the extent that Abraham is, relatively speaking.
Just look at his fights. He thinks defence first. In the arreola fight there where times where he ran across the ring so arreola would hit him. Also every time he got close he would tie him up he should at least trade a few punches and make it intersting not boring.
Why should he give the guy a chance to get off when he certainly doesn't have to. For every flailing attempt Arreola was orchestraTING...there was a reply by Vitali. He may have been moving around alot but he certainly was throwing punches in bunches. Trust me if he would've went toe to toe with Chris....he would've landed in the hospital. Vitali's the ONLY fighter in the history of the sport that can say he gives much more than he takes for every fight he's been in. I agree that his objective is NOT to get hit as that's the gameplan for every prizefighter but one thing Vitali ALWAYS does no maTTER who he's facing is throw punches nonstop. The guy is the ONLY heavyweight champion that was a kickboxing champion as well. He's used to defending himself & is NOT afraid to mix it up but ONLY when he has to.

Well that makes it boring just seing the same thing over and over. He hits people with fluries and ties up or moves. Look at pac he doesnt need to take any punishment but he rest on the ropes and covers up and lets the other guy tee of. That creates exitement and every one goes wild but pac always remains in control. Im not saying hes not good he is but the klits are boring.
Only 2 of his 43 opponents have been able & or forced him to mix it up & that's Sanders & Lewis & you saw what happened to Sanders for his trouble & ofcourse Lewis was never to be heard from again.

You got it all wrong son...... VK doesn;t need to tie up his opponents. He shoos them away with his fists. Vitali does NOT hold. Think of him as a bigger version of Joe Calzaghe with brute power & you'll be onto something. Dominance is very boring indeed. Having the highest knockout % in heavyweight history is also very sleep inducing & let;s not forget winning more than 9 out of every 10 rds you fight must be also some cure for insomnia. Since he's the ONLY won who knocksout his opponent about 9 out of every 10 times & wins rds in the same exact fashion...i'd say he has to be the boringest heavyweight fighter in the history of the division since he's the only ONE that has done what i've just stated.

& another thing.. Vitali does the exact same thing that Pac does with more power & even more dominance but PAC is the one who's worshipped by fans. It;s because he's the little guy & is NOT supposed to be doing the things he's doing. Vitali is a victim of his own size & strength. People expect him to dominate in the faSHION HE DOES & blame it all on his size advantage & not realizing how skillful he really is.
Solis might not be exciting, but a win over Vitali would definitely make the division more interesting.
It'd make it a bit more open, for a while at least, but then Wlad would just swoop in and gobble up his brother's belt, or else Vitali would enforce his rematch clause.
Why would anyone who was not emotionally invested in Solis want him to win? He a living representation of everything that's bad about the division. Fat, lazy, apathetic in his boxing goals and unwilling to face truly top contenders in order to get his shot at the title. He's not even particularly entertaining, which was at least Arreola's saving grace. If he were to beat Vitali fairly and squarely (unlikely, but not entirely out of the realms of possibilty) then I won't grudge him that, but it would put things into a terrible state of affairs IMO. Vitali might not be everyone's cup of tea but whatever you may think of him as a fighter he's a professional each and every time out, fights regularly, and has never really given a bad account of himself. All traits that should be admired in any champion.
I agree with every single word. Green K
I don't think it'll happen, but ultimately I would like to see Solis win. (You don't have to be a detective to figure out why.) I have mixed feelings, though, for the reasons you just stated.
I have a great deal of respect for the Klitschko brothers. They aren't the most exciting heavyweight champs, but they are stone cold professionals, in and out of the ring. Boxing needs more of that.
