Oscar de la Hoya was a beast in his prime

Rewatched some of his old fights and I totally forgot how fast and strong he was in his prime. I think it's a shame that people only remember for his losses, especially to Floyd and Manny. In his prime he would have definitely beat them. And he was clearly robbed against Trinidad IMO.
He took on all challenges, despite losing to some. That's something that people should appreciate. The hate that he gets from people, especially from Mexicans, is surprising. He was a great fighter in the ring.

He was...And he fought them all...Only problem is he lost almost all his big fights. But kudos to him for facing top notch competition.

give people time and they'll be back to talking about that handsome lightweight with a bomb in his left hand that took on EVERYBODY and looked great doing it

oscar had the style to beat both pacquiao and mayweather

he fought them after too many hard fights (and in manny's case, after he murdered himself making welterweight)

his jab would have busted both guys up in his prime and he'd likely win on the scorecards
nobody who knows anything about boxing is going to make much an argument against that

            oscar was an absolute beast
            agree 100%
