From The Ring's 2004 Boxing Almanac;

"All three judges had it 58-56 for Klitschko. But the judges failed to agree on which fighter won which rounds. Only round two, which was Klitschko's, and six, Lewis', were slamdunk rounds. Boxing 2003 scored it 57-57."

That's one more source for you, Jose, and also indication that there were some rounds that might've gone either way in the scoring (according to The Ring and the judges scorecards).

USA Today just lost all credibility with me. How in the hell can they have it 4-2 for Lewis against Vitali. It was the other way around to me.

You do know he chose to fight Mical Grant instead of Ruiz right? Grant at the time was thought to be the heir apparent to Lewis while all Ruiz had done at that point was be knocked out in 19 secons by David Tua.

Lewis chose to fight Mike Tyson in the most aticpated heavyweight fight in ages instead of Byrd.

That is entirely correct. Let me add that there is allegations he ducked Chris Byrd, Byrd had volunteered to step in and fight when Kirk Johnson got injured. Chris Byrd had not been training for a fight, and would have represented a fairly easy opponent. Instead Lewis took a fight with Klitschko, a much tougher challenger who had been already training for a fight on the undercard.

Lewis chooses to retire at age 38 after beating Klitschko, simply because he had lost some of his desire. To prove my theory that Lewis is accused of being a coward because he is a polite British guy: how many people who say Lewis is a coward also say Mike Tyson is a coward? Probably not very many, even though Tyson is a women beater who ducked a 45 year old George Foreman, he is a thug from Brooklyn so people don't consider him a coward.

No. You have to face the facts. 4-2 is how I scored the fight, Lewis landing over 50% of his power punches and was displaying the better overall effective agression. Many of VK's punches landed on Lennox's gloves. Klitschko was also getting nailed with right hands and holding on from weak legs.

If you want to score a fight on valor alone, go ahead. That simply does not mean a fighter won the fight based on legitimate rules for judging.

i don't think he was overrated cuz no one i kno sed or made him out to be a boxing god. he was a smart fighter that utilized his jab.

everyone knew his chin wasn't really good and dat when he beat tyson he was old so it wasn't made into anything krazy. he was gettin his ass kicked against frank bruno until he landed a lucky left hook to turn the tide. and he was KO'd when he was in his prime...overrated...no? underrated at times though
