vitali would've won IMO if it went on more round. my prediction initlialy was vitali TKO7, n i think it could've happen, anyway

        IMO..... YES HE WAS OVERRATED
doesn't matter to me if hes british
actually im canadian, n he represented canada in the olympics, i think hes ovverrated cuz hes a ***, and never really took on anyone big, until the guy was finsihed.....
I agree with you, most all the big names he fought were done.

He's a ***, he's arrogant, and he's not nearly as good a fighter as he will tell you he is.

I just said that he wasn't overrated because alot of people still think he's **** lol

It's too general of a question. Was he overrated by what standard? Everybody is overrated by somebody. Do I think Lennox Lewis was the best heavyweight ever? No. BUt I'm sure somebody else does. Do I think Lennox Lewis is the worst Heavyweight ever? No, but I'm sure some people do.

Everything is relative. Lennox was a damn good heavyweight. He used his size extremely well and dominated most of his competition. He beat Holyfield once and drew him another time, and even beat Vitali. He took a dump on Rahman in their rematch, pooped on Briggs, and beat up Tyson (although he was clearly washed up). He would beat many of the great heavyweights due to his size, and he deserves his due for owning the Heavyweight division in his time. Do I think he's overrated? No, but I don't think he's the greatest, and as I said, everything is relative.

The key word is chin, he can take some seriously big shots anywhere else except the chin.

Look at what an idiot this guy is, every time someone talks about Lewis, he has to bring up Vitali.

Where does it say anything about VK in the thread title?

Who the **** said anything about VK, besides

"Lewis never gave VK his rematch" before you started posting?

the USA today has shown their ignorance by incorrectly scoring the fight 4-2 in favor of lewis when CLEARLY VK was winning that fight. ask the judges, the commentators, the forum posters, or any boxing expert or ringside observer who they had winning on points.

i think its funny where you actually believe what the USA today is telling you.

bozo was very convincing at the time... you just had to be there to get it.
It work both ways kid. Go ask Ali, Ray Leonard, Joe Frazier, Pernell Whitaker what a Gold Medal does for your career there some of the greatest ever and they won Gold.

The only reason Holyfield didn't win Gold was ebcause he wa victim of oneof the biggest screw jobs in the history of the Olympics. Of course more are not gonna win gold than win gold because there is onlyone winner per weight class.

I dont beleive what the USA today is telling me. Unlike you I have formed my own opnion on the fight. I said several sources had the fightclose at thetime it ended and you asked who so I came back with the AP and USA Today two very large sources.

Personally I scored the fight 4-2 for Vitali at the time of the stoppage wth Lewis winning 2 of the last 3 rounds.

My point was the fight was nowhere near as one sided as your trying to make it out to be.

No he was very good,He lost twice and came back to avenge each defeat in stunning fashion.suspect chin a little but took some good shots over the years too.He is my favorite HW of all-time followed closely by Prime Holyfield.
