    Margarito is clearly shot

Ive been watching a few of his older fights...hes so much worse nowadays. No, I am not talking about plaster. Im talking about his overall body language and skill set, and his chin. I think the Cotto fight was the last good preformance...but even then I dont think he was quite at his best(althogh not far from it). He doesnt even use his legs behind his punches anymore Ive noticed(which effects his power), not to mention one of his key assets, stamina, seems to have been severely diminished.

Its not really surprising considering the kind of punches he takes. also he seems like a fighter that spars a lot, and fighters that spar a lot generally dont have long careers(you take more damage in sparring than you do in fights).
After all, there were rumors of him getting his ass kicked in sparring by bums leading up to the Mosley fight...I think he lost a lot after the Cotto bout.

As youve said fighters with Tonys style will not have as long in their as a boxer.I think the fact that he fought Cintron Cotto and Mosley three monster punchers consecutively and took severe damage in each fight as finshed Tony as a world class fighter. The stamina issue may have to do with Capetillio leaving who is a great conditioning coach

the stamina is probably a little of both. Stamina is one of the first things to go as your body starts getting damaged.

I actually thought he looked pretty good against Pacquiao belive it or not, he certainly gave the best account of himself that anyone has since marquez, his main problem was the fact that pacquiao wasn't there to fall victim to the accumilation beatdown.

He has only had 2 fights since the wrap fiasco. One was after a long lay off against Garcia and the other was against Manny who Marg still managed to badly hurt twice. We'll have to see more from Marg to consider whether he's shot or not.

the thing is that I thought he looked better even before the Cotto fight. Even in the Cotto fight he wasnt really planting his feet down on his punches like he used to a little earlier in his career.

I dont see how you can say he looked good in the Pacquiao fight. granted: he did do a little better than I expected him to. I thought he was totally shot and would get almost no offense off. but I think that was more due to the style matchup than him getting better.
