    A question for Cotto fans...

Why didn't Cotto switch to southpaw when he fought Manny, that would have given him a better shot.
We all know southpaws have problems with other southpaws, it kinda evens the playing field.

I feel if he would have switched to SP it would have been a better fight for Cotto..
Not saying he would have won, but it would have given Manny a tricky look.
    What you guys think?

i think he went southpaw in that fight for a moment.

wouldn't do him any good even if he went southpaw for an extended amount of time. not saying diaz is as good as cotto, but you get the idea.

He would had lost anyway but may have taken less of a beating. Cotto in that fight was so left foot heavy that he didn't see half of the punches comming in and if he did he couldn't get out of the way.

Yea i feel you, but I was just watching Cottos old Olympic fights, and he seemed more comfortable at south paw.

How would a fan know why a fighter didn't change his tactics mid-fight? That's my question.

I'd like to see a rematch at 154 without weight stipulations by team Pacman,if Cotto beats Mayorga & Margarito.

Cause Cotto is a **** fighter aready.

If a fighter cant win on their normal and best stance what makes you think they'll win on their weaker one?

We don't know how that fight could've gone. Starting from round 7 Cotto was just jabbing and backing, I feel like he gave up the fight and didn't try anything new, since he was outboxed in the early rounds. Probably Cotto didn't even plan turning southpaw before the fight and he was trying everything he prepared for Pacquiao in early rounds. After all his tricks didn't give him anything he just decided to survive.

18 in Mexican years is really 13. The anger that normally leaves men at 17 once their balls drop, does not seem to leave Mexicans until they hit 55.
