Once Donaire can't hurt the guy in front of him, he becomes very tame. Montiel has a very good chin that has been tested by great power punchers. Concepcion made Donaire go on the defensive because he couldn't hurt him. I expect a tough Donaire on the earlier rounds diminishing on the later rounds. Montiel by UD possible late TKO.

Plus that was over 7 years ago, when Montiel was like 23.

Montiel fought Concepcion on even 118 lbs., Donaire fought Concepcion on 115 lbs vs 124 lbs! KOing a guy 3 divisions higher is kinda hard, as Pac showed when he fought Marg. Though Donaire boxed and ran like May when he couldn't KO Conc, while Pac walked down, traded power punches, broke the man's skull and gave mercy on the 12th bcoz he didn't want to be a murderer!

as i was saying, exploiting an opponents weakness is the key for the "win". this is a very typical for a "thinking fighter". with his skills, nonito can execute several fight plans to dominate the fight. montiel is an elite fighter that should'nt be taken lightly, his power in his arsenal is devastating. i still consider the fight at 50-50, whoever got a good fight plans will prevail and i think nonito got a slight advantage on this department because of his slickness.

this is a fight that all boxing fans don't wanna miss...

frankly, i wouldn't be surprised if donaire catch montiel with a vicious left upper cut in the 4th !!!

I hope Montiel wins, he's such an underated fighter. Though Donaire is definatley the favourite to win.
