    Super bantamweight Jonathan Oquendo (19-2, 12KOs) is closing in on a WBO title shot. He returns against Felipe Cordova on January 22 in the headliner of the event "Night of Champions" from the Bayamón Correctional Complex. Oquendo has built a good streak since being stopped by Juan Manuel Lopez in 2008. Oquendo ranked at number three with the WBO, wants to face the winner of countryman Wilfredo Vazquez Jr.'s potential defense against Jorge Arce on May 7.
