Kelly Pavlik (25-0, 22ko; Youngstown, OH) v. Fulgencio Zuniga (17-1-1, 16ko; Columbia). Kingsley Ikeke was due to defend on August 4th on a Golden Boy show in Atlantic City, NJ. but declined to fight. His title was vacated giving Pavlik and Zuniga the shot for the title.
1st title for Pavlik will happen in this fight and then maybe Winky Wright or some other supposed top Middleweight will take the fight with Kelly. We know that Jermaine Taylor will not take the fight because it would definitely end Taylor's reign as Middleweight Champion. I wish people would stop ducking Kelly, he is the hardest hitting Middleweight bar none and this is what scares the other top Middleweights.
