Because the Pacquaio hype machine is in overdrive, people seem to have forgotten that he's looked very ordinary at times, against fighters not nearly as good as Mayweather. Since Pac is foreign, his fans like to dismiss some of his loses like they were fought early in his career. He was KO'd when he lost his flyweight title. He lost to Morales and had the close calls with JMM when he was an established P4P elite. Hell, if not for point deductions, he would have lost a decision to Agepito Sanchez. So this guy isn't superman. And I think that's why most fighters and those who know boxing pick Mayweather to beat him.Comment

Actually, JMM landed the exact same overhand right in the second round with Mayweather that Mosley did. He just doesn't hit as hard as Mosley, and it didn't have the same affect. Aside from that, both were dominated about the same. Hell, JMM actually wasn't as close to being stopped as Mosley and wasn't nearly as easy a target. So your stance can be disputed. But, their respective fights with Mayweather are kinda irrelevant when talked who "deserved" a fight with Pac. I think with what each has done since, combined with history with Pac, JMM was clearly more deserving than Mosley at this stage in their careers.Comment

DeLaHoya probably IS ranting & raving out of spite due to his rivalry & hatred for Bob Arum & Top Rank. However, that doesn't make his statement any less true. Whether or not Floyd would beat Manny is speculative, but the commentary about the "Heavy Bags" is indeed a matter of FACT. Like it or not, it's true. Whether you LOVE or HATE Manny....it's an undeniable fact that his recent string of opponents have been highly unacceptable for a P4P # 1 fighter.Comment
