Salvador Sanchez this and that, yes he was a great champion, and he beat Gomez ok good, but just like he beat Gomez, Gomez Mowed down all their best at the time and by KO about 12 of them, Including Zarate and Pintor 2 of the 3 "elite" Mexican fighters at that time...

So true. We could just as easily say: "Gomez came up in weight to fight Sanchez." The rematch never happened cause Sanchez decided it made more sense to be a bad asss and drink a few coronas while dodging trees.
