WBA "regular" featherweight champion, Jonathan Victor Barros (31-1, 18KOs), wants the biggest fights possible at his weight. He will make an option defense on February 19 at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama against Mexican contender Marco López (18-0, 10 KOs). He would like to get a big fight in the summer, whether it's WBO champion Juan Manuel Lopez, WBA/IBF champion Yuriorkis Gamboa or former champ Celestino Caballero.

Well cab has been getting fucked by dibella and pricing himself out like always,plus this past lost against litzau really did him in more. only good thing for him is that WBA with their BS system of having the super duper champion,the interim and all the other different "champions " the got.

It will be interesting to see if Caballero pushes for this fight (as publicly as he has Juanma). Even before his latest loss he needed a win against a legit contender. This is his way into the mandantory system and if he wins we'll really see if he's being ducked or just pricing himself out (I believe its a combination of the two with Caba not doing himself ANY FAVORS along the way). If he becomes a mandatory and the promoters cant agree then the WBA will force them to fight. I would expect Caba to come out screaming by tomm - or at least he better.
