Still, Marquez was the only guy to have some kinda antidote against the Pacman era Pacquiao.
Modern day Pac would destroy JMM.

I just can't see it this time around. I think JMM is showing real signs of wear these days while Pacman looks unbeatable. JMM looks like a fleshy plodder above 139lb, Pacman is a ripped monster.Comment

JMM is not pure counter puncher. He has completely different style compared to Floyd. Marquez is combination puncher, he needs his opponents to brawl him to land his combinations. This is the why Marquez is one of the most exciting fighters today JMM-Diaz/Pac/Katsidis are classic fights for those who love action. Mayweather sits in his defense and counters with his right hand, that's why Clottey and Floyd are most boring boxers around WW. JMM doesn't counter with one punch, whenever his opponent attacks, Marquez brawls him with multiple combinations.Comment

This is common sense. The ship for a competitive fight sailed away a few years and a few weight divisions ago. Pac-Marquez at 140+ will be the equivalent of Pac-Hatton, Juan Manuel would be like a sloth being hunted by a cheetah, it'd be brutal.
But some people will still cling to the past I suppose.Comment
