Why Do British Fighters Retire So Early?

There is a trend as of late and somewhat historically of British fighters just giving up their careers near their prime or retiring somewhat out of nowhere. Now we have Haye and Khan both talking about retirement and planned retirement dates? Guys like Calzaghe and Hatton who for various reasons seemed to just walk away. Your Princes who just gave up after a loss pretty much. So what is up with British fighters? While American fighters seem to try to fight way too long, Brits are out seemingly too early.

They don't love boxing. Where as a BHop or RJJ will fight to the death they'd rather be celebrities

None are really elite and all just try to get out before this is exposed.

They've been exposed by then, and just give up because they've lost their UK fans backing them.

Do you have any examples? Most fighters talk retirement but few actually does it.

Hatton didn't lose his fans, I think it's the nature of the british PPV. They can make so much money domestically in the UK because once a fighter picks up steam they become REALLY popular which only seems to happen to a select few American fighters.

Calzaghe was quite old anyway, Hatton had made his money and seemed like his passion for the sport went after he realised he couldn't beat the best in Pac and Mayweather and it does seem like less of them end up broke (with Eubank being the exception)

The British, in particular the English, are mentally conditioned from an early age to blossom into quitters with no heart, which is essentially every so called "great" British fighter of the past few decades.

Poms are the most useless pathetic boxers in all of boxing.

Zero talent. Zero heart. Zero cojones.

If they have zero the Aussie fighters must be below zero.
