The strawweights

I've seen a few of them (Joyi, Sithsamerchai, and Condes) and I really wish they would get more attention but bantamweights don't get much attention in the US or UK. Donaire vs Montiel is the first bantamweight fight on HBO in a long time. As far as unifying titles? I'm sure they would like to and have probably discussed it but they just can't make a deal.

Yes there has, Ricardo Lopez was the lineal champ of the division. And, he was the lineal champ for almost a decade if I'm not mistaken.

Granted there hasn't been a lineal champ since El Finito though.

I've seen them all except Cuello, Landero, and Sithmorseng. I am familiar with some of their opponents though.

These fighters may not get TV time in the US, but they do in their home countries.

I have only seen a couple Lopez fights. I didn't realize he fought at straweight I always thought he was in the flyweight division

yes you are correct my mistake he became the lineal champion 11-28-1998 with a SD win 12 against Rosendo Alvarez to win he's third alphabet title and at the same time win the lineal title. What threw me off was when the Ring magazine didn't recognize lineal champions between 1990-2002 when they discontinued there championship policy. So Ricardo el finto Lopez was the First and only lineal champion along with winning the WBC/WBA and the WBO titles as well as the IBF title in the light flyweight division 108lbs

I'd like to see the top 5 strawweights but there isn't any coverage of them here in the united states. I'd especially like to see Joyi fight Sithsamerchai for the vacant ring magazine title. It would be a great unification between two undefeated titleholders but it's always hard for the promoters to make fights with other titleholders due to high money demands but if these titleholders would take a risk and fight each other for less money somebody would be on top making the money that they are asking for
