I mean is clearly Martinez award for FOTY. I mean is not even debatable. I always felt that Segura, Montiel, and Juanma were in a race for runner up.

So this award is not shocking to me at all.

However, the trainer of the year award is somewhat of a surprise. I was thinking more of Hunter(Ward trainer) or Roberto Garcia(Rios/Donaire/Marg trainer) for trainer of the year. But, really looking back at it. I can see how Sarmiento should win the award. Plus I was told that before the P-Will fight Sarmiento had some kind of a premonition of Martinez KO'ing P-Will early. So good for him if he wins it.

Roach still deserves Trainer of the Year, Sarmiento didn't do much outside of Martinez, but SM is definitely the FOY and clearly got the KO of the year

I disagree with all of this.

Martinez won FOTY not for the sake of change but because he deserved.

And, no I wouldn't have voted for Roach either this year. Garcia did a good job this year. Hunter is underrated quiet year. And I have no problem with Sarmiento winning it.

What do you mean "just for the sake of change"? Martinez deserves it because he is the Fighter of the Year. This isn't being giving to him because people want someone else other than Pacquiao. Martinez earned it.

1) hahahaha! i laugh at martinez, margarito beat martinez via 7th round tko. i bet if margarito and martinez was to fight again, the same thing would happen......

2) Margarito used Martinez's face as a mop.
Even Yuri Foreman can rearrange Martinez's face.
Sergio had a lucky punch, he is a disgrace to boxing and to Argentina as well as Guatemala.

I bet that Buboy Fernandez can even beat Martinez.
