Hopkins won't agree to fight Dawson unless Dawson collects some kind of a handicap until Hopkins is done with the rest. Hopkins will probably retire without fighting Dawson. Not that the usual foulfest could convince me that Hopkins is anywhere above average plus.

If Hopkins don't fight Dawson, then it might suck as far as what some fans want. But like I said, it aint gonna hurt his legacy one bit if he doesn't. He's beaten two opponents that Dawson has faced more convincingly in Tarver and Pascal. I know styles make fights, but Dawson don't have the inside skills to beat Hopkins. The only way Bernard loses that fight is if he gets shot over night.Comment

he fought two unimpressive wins over tarver and johnson, both of which hopkins beat convincingly, he lost to pascal, who hopkins beat but got robbed against..........
oh yeah, he fought a weight drained adamek, which was his best fight to date, a fight after which adamek never fought at 175 again, because he couldn't make the weight.......... it was a impressive win, but it sure as hell didn't make him a world beater, and i would be willing to bet that if they fought again, adamek would beat dawson.

how is dawson all the sudden the guy to beat? what? because he has a trinket belt? or had? i have abelt, you have a belt? doesn't mean crappola doesn't it? it's who you beat that suggests who you should be fighting next, then you have to factor in all the elements, ie, money, and with dawson there is m little to no money.
i'm not a hater, just a realist, and as of now, dawson BRINGS NOTHING TO THE TABLE....... not even a resume....... and as for a crowd, in the words of gordon ramsey, " he couldn't even draw a bath ".............Comment

dawson dominated tarver TWICE in the same fashion hopkins did
he also fought the better johnson and dominated him the second time around
and adamek was'nt weight drained at all
****** people always use crap excuses, alot of guys who get thoroughly dominated like adamek move up in weight, cuz all he had after that loss at that class was to fight some bums and pray for a possible rematch with dawson which was'nt certain to happen, no one is denying he didn't have some trouble losing the weight, which most fighters do, but to say he was weight drained? no

What a load of crap, ive seen hop interviewed and hes said he wanted dawson next, its all talk, when the time came he wanted nothing to do with the fight, just more talk now, how can he even say it at this stage and keep a straight faceComment

uumm, don't know what fights you were watching, but both dawson tarver fights were snooze fests, in which dawson needed to do something big in both and he did nothing of the sort, AND i remember distinctly adamek having trouble with the weight and saying that was his last fight at 175 because he could no longer make the weight, citing being drained in that fight, thats why he felt flat during it, although i thought he fought his ass off to lose to the better man that night, but don't marginalize me when i'm going by what is on the record. get with it dude.dawson dominated tarver TWICE in the same fashion hopkins did

dawson hasn't done much to be in any demand, as far as i'm concerned he's still trying to make a name for himself.
and as for ****** people, not here pally, i know wtf is up, i not only use my eyes and mind, but i go by facts and experience.
hopkins not fighting dawson and the reasons for not fighting dawson aren't ******, they're based off of reality and common sense, dawson doesn't hae a draw, i wish he did, not only for US boxing's sake but for himself too, i'd like to see dawson be a big star and make a good lot of money, he never will being with shaw, but, i'm not hating, stating facts homey, know that.Comment
