What if David Haye..

[QUOTE=prinzemanspopa;9968897]When Holyfield unified his division,he did so within the first three and a half years of his career.Haye snatched two titles from an old man and then added another from a weak glass jawed champion.
David Haye took the easy route of fighting Euro level opposition and then stepping up to pick at what was left of Mormeck.Haye wanted nothing to do with the younger, fresher Steve Cunningham at Cruiserweight.
Im not saying Haye was better than Holyfield plus Haye unified the belts quicker than Holyield was my point.
Easy way, pretty much all European boxers go the Euro level route that is an unbelievable ****** statement to make. Mormeck wasn't an old man he may have been past his prime but had just beaten O'Neil Bell and is undefeated since the Haye fight. Going to France and getting up off the canvas to win is an achievement. He didn't duck Cunningham who never once tried unify at crusierweight and he doesn't have the KO power to test Haye's suspect chin.
He literally knocked the confidence out of Enzo you can tell he isn't the same boxer after the Haye fight. Anyone who has seen him since will tell you the same.Comment

Apart from the fact that Haye never unified the division in the first place.Holyfield completely unified the division, taking all the titles available at the time - something Haye didn't do.To have unified the division,Haye would have had to have beaten Steve Cunningham - which he didn't do.Tomasz Adamek arguably has a better resume as a cruiserweight than Haye does. And
Enzo Maccarinelli was never anything more than Euro level.Denis Lebedev did a more decisive job on Maccarinelli than Haye did.Comment

I disagree. Holyfield like Lewis would've beaten Tyson even at his peak as Holyfield was not scared of him and Tyson never massacred anyone who wasn't scared of him.Everyone remember that no one forced Evander to fight at cruiserweight for years but he did . If he fought Tyson in his prime he would have gotten massacred about as the rest did , and he knew that himself which is why it took him years to move up to HW and then more years to fight Tyson there .Comment

Holyfield was scared of Tyson during Tyson's prime which is why it didn't happen . Holyfield was probably not scared of him in 1996 , but I meant during the mid to final 80's .Comment

Both Holyfield and Foreman were ready and wanting to fight Tyson, who decided instead to fight 43-1 underdog nobody Buster Douglas. Evander has never been afraid to fight anyone in his life, even at almost 50 he's trying to get fights with the Klitschkos and Haye.Comment

The Klitschko's said they wont fight him and if he did fight and beat Haye, I think they would determine that Holyfield is either on the most hardcore roids imaginable or has sold his soul to the devil...either way they wont fight him then. They both have a lot of respect and admiration for Holyfield...plus I dont think they want a Rocky 4 apollo creed situation on their hands.Comment

Foreman in his comeback prior to '90 sure did more than that bum Douglas prior to Tokyo
.
And it is very appropriate and fitting to mention Holyfield's willingness to fight Tyson prior to 1990 immediately after mentioning his willingness to fight the Klitschkos today and Foreman's willingness to fight Tyson prior to 1990.Comment

Now your reaching fine Holyfield did have all the belts Haye still had 3 out of 4 if Wlad were to beat Haye wouldn't he be considered unified champ or would he have to have ALL the belts. Adamek better resume please he only held the IBF belt. Haye did a better version of Enzo in 2 it took Lebedev 3 on a far worse version.Apart from the fact that Haye never unified the division in the first place.Holyfield completely unified the division, taking all the titles available at the time - something Haye didn't do.To have unified the division,Haye would have had to have beaten Steve Cunningham - which he didn't do.Tomasz Adamek arguably has a better resume as a cruiserweight than Haye does.

I just reread your original post, where you indicated Holyfield was scared to fight Tyson during the mid 80's. Clearly you're just trolling.Foreman in his comeback prior to '90 sure did more than that bum Douglas prior to Tokyo
.
And it is very appropriate and fitting to mention Holyfield's willingness to fight Tyson prior to 1990 immediately after mentioning his willingness to fight the Klitschkos today and Foreman's willingness to fight Tyson prior to 1990.
And Foreman was a former undisputed world champion, he didn't need to prove himself all over again, he just needed to show he was in fighting shape. As had been done many times historically. Hell they dug Jim Jeffries up after 6 years without a fight against Jack Johnson.Comment
