That is so damn bad. When the two best Light Welterweights fight and both are unbeaten you'd expect so much better.

Local shows sell more than that in a week, lol. Can you belive this is in a 80 thousand arena.

It really is awful, I knew this wouldn't draw very well for obvious reasons even though its an important fight but wow.

Why somebody in Detroit put up a lot of money to hold this fight there (in January!) will always be a mystery to me. This fight should have happened in St Louis where the live crowd would create a much better atmosphere than a few thousand in a football stadium.

Someone is losing money for sure. It it was in St. Louis, I would have gone.

To all the people that disbelieve this figure:

I used to work in the music industry. A few years ago a certain band that had been on a reality show and featured 3 former members of a very famous rock grouped booked a tour, and many of the dates were cancelled.

The date in Georgia in particular, booked into a big venue was cancelled. Why? Because a week before the show they had sold 50 tickets.

These guys were former members of a platinum-selling band and had songs on modern rock radio and MTV.

              50 tickets.

You had better believe that less than 400 is a very possible figure.

Well the guy that bought the Silverdome probably has money to throw around since he paid like 400 grand.

He needs big events because there are expenses involved, it is certainly debatable if this is the right event then again he could actually get it and there are limits on what could be attracted to the Silverdome (when you consider there are better venues in the area).

No doubt the atmosphere would be better in a smaller venue in St. Louis, that was my big concern when I got tickets was how they were going to set it up.
