Comments Thread For: Ricky Hatton Plans To Regain His Boxing License, Later

Ricky Hatton appeared on Sky's Ringside boxing program to discuss the latest wave of British boxing talent. Hatton spoke highly of Scott Quigg and Joe Murray, both of whom box for his promotional company. Sky's Adam Smith asked Ricky if he plans to lace up the gloves again in the wake of a recent return to the rigors of the gym, prompting an optimistic response from the former linear light-welterweight champion.

If he is enjoying life again then he does not 'need' boxing. He needs to stay with what he is doing. I never liked his style and I never will. Hugging is not boxing. He'll never be satisfied being a gatekeeper, and I don't think he will be anything more than that at this point.

I want to see Ricky Hatton make a comeback. I think he has several good fights left in him, provided he's matched up agains the right opposition...

It would be good for Ricky to fight one last time, preferably another has been fighter so he can close out his boxing career on a high note. It always profitable for Vegas when his singing army support him.
