According to Oscar De La Hoya it was Wlad who didn't want the fight
Haye said no, remember that.

not if he has a long time waiting for wlad to fight, and wlad himself has dropped out of fighting chisora, how do we know he wont drop out of fighting haye if he did that to chisora?.
and you all want wlad to fight haye and have the excuse that haye only wins cuz wlad was arogant and over trained?
or under prerpared for haye fight and under estimated chisora?.
wlad fighing chisora, prety much makes haye have to fight his mandatory.
he has to fight his mandatory in may/june,thats even less time to prepare than wlad has!,even less time to heal any injuries, like broken hands or cuts he might get.
so you want both guys looking dead on thier feet vs each other?
both gassing out,and looking awful, making the super fight a fight of tired worn out boxers, both under prepared for each other by not getting enough specific sparring and focus on just there fight, and spending more time preparing and putting energy into tune ups and mandatory fights?Comment

Wlad never said "no"
Haye said "no" because the bitch was jealous of Wlad staying active against Chisora.
Get your mind off Haye's ****, then you'll be able to think more clearly.Comment

dvb Haye should have asked the WBA if a fight with Wladimar could be priortized since it's a unfication bout. Unification pretty much overule mandatorys anyway, and the WBA would have probably given the Haye the nod to fight Chagaev after Wladimar.Comment

I just want to ask is anyone has proof the WBA ordered the chagaev fight because I've seen absolutely none to that effect.
Secondly according to Boxing scenes news pages Povetkin or Bostyov could now be in the running and not Chagaev because he can't get sanctioned in the UK which means basically the WBA are not making any forced fights.
Thirdly no Haye fans on this thread have answered my original question: If Haye is retiring in October he would have fought Wlad on July 2nd then one more person - a mandatory - before October so why not take the July 2nd fight with Wlad and risk a delay? If it was delayed with Wlad and Haye didn't get to fight Chagaev / Bostyov or Povetkin before he retired in October would that really be worse than not fighting Wladimir?Comment

Everything you said is true. However, gaye fanboys are inmune to logic and reasonThat's the only thing that's important; he said no.
It was him that he would have to now fight Chagaev - not the wba.
It was him who didn't want Wlad to have a tune up. Would Wladimir really have suddenly become 50x better fighting Chisora? Honestly? Or would it be more likely he get some wear and tear or worse yet have problems due to excessive overtraining?
Whatever the answer is Haye made the decision. Not Wlad. Not the WBA no one. And you'd think if he wanted the fight like he says he does he would be willing to take the risk of Wlad getting injured and delaying a few months but clearly he doesn't want the legacy.
Consider it: If he and Wlad fought in July who'd he fight next? CHAGAEV!!! So would delaying a fight with Wlad if Wlad gets injured be the end of the world? Does Chagaev 'define' Hayes' legacy? Does he need Chagaev?
Makes perfect sense when you think about it. The only conclusion is Haye doesn't want the fight it's pretty simple.
