    Disgusting Filipino Article Bashing Donaire by Brutal Pac nuthugger Ricah Trinidad

    Will the real Nonito Donaire Jr. please stand up
    Recah Trinidad

    Not exactly too good to be true but, with the wholesome image he has consistently projected in and out the fight ring, not a few fans were left to wonder if there’s another side to Nonito Donaire Jr.
    Wondered the celebrated Cesar Ruiz Aquino, poet laureate of Silliman in Dumaguete: “Am real anxious about the Filipino Flash, how good are our chances against Fernando Montiel?”
    “He can outbox and outpoint Montiel any day,” the excitable bard was told, “but he must watch out for Montiel’s damning body punches, he’s a liver-eater.”
    Last heard of, Donaire was a big favorite over champion Montiel in their Feb. 19 world bantamweight title fight in Las Vegas.
    Of course, there’s another side to the Donaire Jr. story.
    And a report from Cebuano Anthony Andales, roving boxing correspondent and aeronautic engineer based in Arkansas, leads us to wonder whether damning revelations about Donaire, the Filipino Flash, could tell on his training and the Montiel fight itself.
    Let’s share portions of Andales’ sensational reportage:
    * * *
    Duljoville via Charleston, SC—Reading Tris Dixon’s story about “The Sadness Behind the Smile” (http://bit.ly/hbZIhx), I called my friend Glenn Donaire, (brother of Nonito Donaire Jr.) to ask if he had read the article, Glenn said, “No! I didn’t but my family already did. Enough is enough.”
    However Nanay Donaire wanted to come out in the open—not to distract her son’s training but to clarify everything and to let her world champion son know she is listening and will spank him if he keeps on lying.
    * * *
    Again, I’m not here to fan the flames, but to relay a message by a very concerned Mama Donaire, who said it’s about time for her to speak out and let her son know he can’t go on telling lies about his Dad—Nonito Sr.—as she can no longer tolerate them.
    Nanay Donaire, a third order Augustinian Secular and a church choir member, told me that hearing Nonito Jr. profess falsehood makes her sad all the time. After reading Tris Dixon’s story, she swore there must be a stop to all this.
    First she said Nonito’s dad didn’t steal any money; the $240 Nonito Jr. accused his Dad of stealing from him was used to feed the boxing staff during training. I say what is $240? Is that enough to accuse your own Dad of stealing? Is that enough to cut the relationships? Nanay Donaire thinks that $240 is not enough to make the older Donaire look bad. She asked: “Did Dodong (Nonito Sr.) accuse him of stealing money when he spent lots of money raising him? Paying his phones, rent and stuff? No the Dad never accused his son of anything because he loved him.”
    * * *
    As I spoke to Nonito Sr, he recalled that on the Moruti Mthalane fight in Mandalay Bay, he was supposed to make $30K. But after the fight Junjun and wife Rachel paid him $20K. “Did I accuse him of stealing? Never. I never did,” Dodong Donaire exclaimed.
    Nanay Donaire recalled that when she watched Junjun’s fight in Manila in April 2009, the first thing Rachel’s dad did was to read her the rules: She can’t go near her son anytime she wants, she can’t always ask for something from the son, she can’t get inside the ring in case Junjun wins.
    As could be expected, Nanay Donaire threw the paper containing the rules. Junjun won and, if my recollection is right, he knocked out Raul Martinez in 4, and GMA TV approached Nanay Donaire. She stood up, but Nonito’s new mommy (Rachel’s mom) reacted gruffly: “Why did you get up? Did you read the rules?” Nanay Donaire politely answered: “I can’t make those guys wait for me.”
    Still in Manila, she said that she had a room provided by her son, but that afternoon Rachel told her to just go downstairs and stay with her five relatives (room was very small though) because her room would be given to Dr. Ed Dela Vega, although she knew Doc Ed had a room for himself. She learned later that the room was given to a bodyguard.
    * * *
    Anyway, both parents recalled that, after Nonito knocked out Darchinyan, he made this promise: “Ma/Pa you don’t have to work anymore. We’ll buy a new house, we will live together, we’re gonna be happy.”
    Those promises perished when he got married, the dad said.
    He quarreled with his dad and he didn’t help Glenn train against Ulisses Solis. He didn’t show up for sparring.

    Asked if he played favorites with his kids, Nonito Sr. replied: “In fact, Junjun could be counted as the favorite because he was sickly among my children.”
    Now, all Nanay Donaire could pray for was that Nonito’s new family stand by him all the way, not just for fame.
    In fact, if Rachel is a good wife, she should teach her husband to respect his own parents. Instead, she tried to pull away Nonito Jr from his own family, Nanay noticed.
    Actually, the Donaire siblings didn’t want their Mom to talk to the media, for fear this could only worsen the problem. But now, after reading Tris Dixon’s long story, they pushed their Mama to talk.
    Mama told me that if Junjun might read this, he should stop making lies, especially about his Dad.
    Personally, I think Junjun is great, but he must fix this mess. Otherwise, he won’t attain the peak.
    He should go to a bookstore and read some famous Jose Rizal writings like—“Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makakarating sa paruruonan.”
    In fact, did we hear anything harsh from Manny Pacquiao, who had been abandoned by his father when he was still a small boy? None! Do we hear anything from beauteous Jinky, from Mommy Pac? None! We only see some dancing and some singing from both Mommy Pac and Manny Pac. And Jinky/Manny are very well-loved because Filipino fans embrace their idols who love their parents.

    Nonito's father stole $240 and Manny's father is a deadbeat dad who abandoned the family.

    Tsk, tsk. Filipino fathers.

      If anybody is portraying a fake image out of the ring, its manny pacquiao with his affairs with **********s, child out of wedlock, friends with criminals, being a corrupt politician, & now a corrupt boxer cherry picking.

      Good job interviewing donaire's mom. real fair & objective. How about interviewing both sides instead of just one side & portraying donaire as some evil bad seed child.

      I guess this recah trinidad isnt married because he doesnt seem to know what it means to be married.

        For what it was worth at the time, he may as well have stayed in General Santos City in the Philippines where he lived until he was six. It was a ******. Crime was rife and thieves plied a rampant trade. His father was in the military and so never around much.

            I don't care for much of what's in this thread, but how the hell is Manny a corrupt politician?

                I edited out "for now", but should've left it there. He isn't corrupt as of now. The guy's only been in office for five months ffs and has done a decent job from what I've read. I'll give him several years.

                    I think that article makes Rachel Donaire look bad than Nonito. He portrays her as a conniving person that is a catalyst to the fall out between the Donaires.
