SO he beat an old RJJ and squeaked away with a close win over BH sorta like JT (look where he is now)beat Eubanks ages ago and brutalized a young guy in Kessler who since has been brutalized again(lost).

I mean really Calzaghe was, is defintely talented by ending his career like he did should bring a littler more distaste.. he could fight the winner of BH_JP 2 or Dawson in the mean-while and that winner fight for the title. Yet he retired, since has admitted to ******* use and well he has fell off the map, 12 yrs as SMW champ and unlike a RJJ, Hopkins even Dawson his reign doesnt seem like anything big, if i where him id be mad and trying to prove im great look at the Klitschkos!!

I guess im trying to say Calzaghe seems to be a scared ass ***** and quit while he was on the top (so he thought) to avoid the oncoming stampede of good fights, fighters arising at that class yay!?!

if you look at press clippings and interviews throughout his career calzaghe strove to be at the top of boxing. then when he finally got there he abruptly retired! he couldn't handle the pressure of possibly losing and it shamed him into retirement. his record controlled him not vice versa.

Joe always had problems with his back, and his hands were totally smoked and done. Injuries ended Calzaghe's career.

No real big fights left. The Dawson fight would've been good for us diehards but it wasnt appealing enough financially to stick around. Same reason Hopkins continues to duck Dawson

all of them. they had to transport manfredo back to the states in a pine box and the ref suffered a collapsed lung and internal bleeding.
