Yes, Floyd is a dumbass and an assh0le. BUT, he also gives to the community, and for all the money he flashes, he's given to charity more money than most of the posters on NSB earn in a year, COMBINED.


He just puts on the bad-guy show, man. It's like the WWE, he's the heel. Everyone wants someone to hate on. And he's perfectly fine with it.

Floyd's fanbase is MAINLY young dudes from the ages 12-30....MAINLY!!!....so him throwing money in the air is just him appealing to his fans....you know, like a hip hop star ....all jokes aside, Holmes DOES have a point but then again he shouldn't throw stones because his mansion is made of glass....it was he who said the late Rocky Marciano couldn't wear his jock strap.....it was him who drove down the street in a nice cadillac with a phone in it....in the late 70's to early 80's....yes I watch old films....I have a library at the crib.....he was stunting through Easton in a fly car and then went on to show off his great big house.....he then showed off his business investments......back in the Regan era....when African Americans were really hurting finacially.....he comes flossing on the TV.....so yea, he does have a point about Money being a lil' ass hole but I think he forgot about how much of a one he was back when he was Floyd's age.....I loved Larry Holmes as a fighter, but c'mon man

This argument can work against you though, because for all the reasons you posted, it would easily make Holmes all the more credible giving his opinion on FLoyd. He's been there, done that, and has seen the aftermath of it to some degree.

Larry Holmes is awesome. One of the most underrated heavyweights ever.

As for what he said about Mayweather, none of it would matter if Mayweather gave us the fights we want when we want them. It's a lot harder to hate on a guy when he is kicking everyone's ass, but Mayweather isn't doing that. That's why Pacquiao can get away with taking fights with Margarito and Mosley, his public image is that of a good guy who is humble and has given fight fans what they want. Mayweather's image is that of an ass**** who has ducked people.
