Japanese boxer Kazuto Ioka could make history on February 11 when he challenges WBC minimumweight champion Oleydong Sithsamerchai of Thailand. The fight takes place at the Kobe World Memorial Hall. Ioka wins the fight, he will set a record in Japan for winning a world title with the fewest amount of fights. Ioka is 6-0, 4KOs, but the champions has an impressive unbeaten record of 35-0-1, 13KOs.

Ioka was going to go after Omar Nino as he had been campaigning at 108, but obviously, Nino lost.

This will be an interesting fight. Sithsamerchai is a pretty good fighter, but in his last few fights at 105, has been dropping off significantly during the last half of fights and been pushed by fighters with less talent than Ioka....it seems he's been struggling with weight.

I expect Sithsamerchai to start well, and have a very interesting stretch towards the end of the fight.
