still im all for nonito>>montiel.....im still taking bets...
yep, whenever power is the only thing going for you in a fight, it's wise not to bet on him.

donaire's size, skills, power, and speed (as you mentioned) will win him this fight.

        and i like Montiel

Nonito waste a lot of time fighting lesser fights after beating Vic
          Sidorenko revived his status
now it's time to take over 118 pounds
          Montiel will get KO'd

Two of my favorite fighters right now going at it. Nonito has a lil more skill and I give him a slight edge.

Both are very skilled and natural counterpunchers, don't think that it will be as exciting as I might hope for

I know the rankings are BS, but still, can somebody please explain to me how Donaire is ranked #5 P4P after only one notable win against Darchinyan four years ago?! If that win elevated him so much, then where does that put Vic?

He admits that he doesn't deserve it until he beats Montiel.

                    He also crushed Sidorenko.

But in Nonito's case his ranking is due primarily to the skill that he shows when he fights more than it is due to the quality of his opposition.

That's right, Donaire did say that.

He said that he felt honored.....

" I’m really flattered by THE RING’s ranking..... I’m honored by it and by any other website or magazine that ranks me with the best in the sport, but I don’t think I deserve it yet. I have to fight more elite fighters to deserve it "

Aside from his obvious humility, this kid is a terrific fighter, it could even be technically accurate to describe him as "sensational". And he's a great guy too, how can you not wish him the very best?

But Montiel is an absolute cracker, hugely under-rated, waaay deprived in the love department for some reason. Is he not popular in Mexico?

Jeez, you Mexican poster's don't know how lucky you are..... you are literally spoiled for favorite fighters to choose from It's strange that Fernando isn't more popular.

Also, a P4P list is theoretical, so " potential " and " ability " are a significant, and valid, factor. Possibly even as valid as merit, as most theoretical P4P match-up's never eventuate because of weight disparity.

P4P lists shouldn't be taken too seriously imho, even The Ring's.

Are Mayweather and Pacquiao really there on merit ?

One doesn't fight, and the other one won't fight in his own division without a catch-weight, unless it's against an old man. Why would a P4P fighter need a catch-weight?

                      Mosley ?

P4P lists mean about as much as ABC straps.
