I don't know why you guys are complaining so much Gael Garcia Bernal is a really good actor in case some of you haven't seen any of his movies. He has made some amazing foreign movies and has gotten alot of praise for his acting. but anyways here is a pic of him, if you ask me he does kinda resembles Roberto Duran a little. this is from the movie motorcycle diaries where he plays a young Che Guevara.

Looks good can't wait seems hollywood likes boxing again with the fighter and Hands of stone back to back now lol something tells me this movie will be great, and Tego fits in, he is a real Latino, autenic..

Who really cares if the actor playing him is Mexican or if he doesn't really look like him. I rather watch a good movie with a quality actor playing him then watch a ****ty movie about a great boxer with a ****ty actor that kind of looks like him. I dont even know what that actor looks like but do you realize how hard it would be to find a good actor that looks like him. Obviously they will have to find a actor that's Hispanic. I live in new Mexico and I grew up with Mexicans and if some hadn't told me that Duran wasn't Mexican I would have known

Gael García Bernal is an excellent, young Mexican actor. He's already been in a few very good to great foreign films. Whether he looks enough like Roberto Duran probably won't matter to you a few minutes into the film. I'm sure Bernal will at least do a good job. The fact that Al Pacino might also be in a film about Duran adds that much more interest to the project.

It's been mentioned several times already, but anyone considering themselves a fan of Roberto Duran must understand that he is indeed half-Mexican. His Mexican father "made him" (Duran's words) in Panama, then left. Apparently, Duran never knew his father, but he himself has made his ancestry clear.
