In his defense, we were talking about the early 90's when video games where hardly as mainstream as they are now. Alot of players wouldn't allow their likeness for NBA Jam because of the $$ and frankly, nobody really cared.

I have to disagree with your stance. Overall with the money the video game company is going to get off that game what ever the athlete is getting paid is peanuts. So they should hold for as much as possible. Those people dedicated they lives to reach the place where somebody is willing to pay to use they likeness for a video game. You think they should do that for next to nothing because of fickle quick to turn they back on you fans? Signing autographs, charity work and taking pictures is for the fans. Putting they likeness on a game that will make billions of dollars is business and they should get paid very very well for it.

Does seem a litte strange, other sports video games have all the players. And there are thousands of players in video games in team sports. I don't know why they cant have all the big names in boxing in the game. A little bit of money to be in a video game, is better then no money and not being in a video game.
