brewer repeatedly called out RJ, but never got the fight... although i think RJ would have killed him, brewer may have been too dangerous an opponent for jones(compared to the bums jones was fighting, like frazier, brannon, hall, etc.)

But Graham retired him, Kalule was planning to go on for much longer because he was in such good form but Graham retired him with a sizzling performance. I suppose Kalule losing to Graham is a little like the Hamed losing to Barrera (he got embarassed and hid away).

You have stated it was Eubank-Watson, maybe Eubank-Benn, that made you a fight fan.

It was watching Mike Tyson coming through the ranks on Grandstand that made me a real fight fan, I'd been watching boxing since the early 80's though (Bruno, McGuigan, Bomber Graham, Minter, Honeyghan et al).

No, I'd been watching boxing since the early 80's but didn't really become a proper fight fan until seeing Tyson come through the ranks on Grandstand. Are you blind? I clearly stated that.

It's weird because when Tyson KTFO Robert Colay, little did I know at the time that he was staying with a kid called Chris Eubanks (he later deleted the 's' from his surname) at a hotel in New Jersey because Eubanks was due to fight at the same casino a few weeks later (Tyson and Eubanks became friends at 1984 NYC Golden Gloves that they both won, and Eubanks trainer Maximo Pierret was Kevin Rooney's former sparring partner).
