9 Weeks NOT enough?

I'll argue.
In those 29 fights, what's the quality of opposition like? - not too good i should hope, otherwise that really undermines the people he's faced.
Using fighters from the past is a redundant argument because boxing has completely changed since those days. They're more sanctions, tests and fighters training is much more intricate than it used to be. Arguably the sport is more competitive too. No one would be allowed to fight the amount that Ezzard did.
9 weeks is ok, IF you stay active - Haye is known to have a lot of bad habits when not training. He's also got fragile hands, so i'm sure he'll break one should he fight Chagaev. If he signs the fight, he's no chance of them recovering.
It's one of the biggest heavyweight fights in years, why not make it more lucrative by building it up further?
What's the rush? Granted i think Haye is being a complete douche about retiring. I'm from England and he's becoming a bit of a joke with his fights.
However, it's completely reasonable to not want to agree to 9 weeks when he has little idea what condition he'll be in after Chagaev.

Guys this Thread is about ONLY Vlad fighting with a 9 week time frame, not Haye.
Alot of fans have argued that 9 weeks is simply not enough time to promote the fight, or for Vlad to have 2 training camps right after eachother
I have not even heard Haye arguing that he will have to fight Chagaev as the reason for him pulling out. This is only the media and posters arguing thisLast edited by Russian Crushin; 01-11-2011, 06:52 AM.

Its plenty of time and Wlad is a true champ for wanting to have 2 back to back training camps and fight Haye right after.

He gave his reasons for Haye pulling out of fights and leaving him with only 1 fight in 2009 and he doesnt want a 10 month break

Haye, if wlad wants you july 2nd take it. You could have fought within a week of having beat Audley harrison.
Haye is just another challenger so i doubt that much promotion is needed. THis fight dont need to be hyped.
