Although I've been sure that this fight won't be approved in England from the beginning, let's not jump ahead of ourselves, they still have to make a verdict.

Even if they reject Chagaev, Haye still has to fight him, just somewhere else. Which he won't, so the WBA must give him another mandatory in line.

Interesting developments to say the least. Even though Haye's a much better fighter than Ruslan I don't think Haye wants to fight him. I think Haye wants to pick another bum or way over the hill nobody in order to take the safest route possible. Make no mistake, I think Haye would obliterate Chagaev easily but Haye's the type of guy who takes as little risk as possible.

It was as easy as his signature on the contract

Haye should fight Chagaev in the Republic of Ireland, in Dublin. Perhaps in the USA, maybe East coast, New York MSG.

That way a lot of his British fans can easily make it over to see the fight. And then we can truly see how big his fanbase is and whether or not they're prepared to travel to support him.
Fans in this case meaning, "suckers."

He just screwed you with the Fraudley fix and you're willing to give him more money?

I don't think Haye "obliterates" Chagaev at all. Ruslan still has fast hands and a solid chin, and if he gets in shape, he can give Haye all he can handle.

Haye hasn't proven he can "obliterate" any top heavyweight. The only one he's fought is Valuev, and he barely won that fight (if he did at all).

I wouldn't want to get in the ring with a guy that has the hep. What if cuts open up on both guys?

Funny how Wlad had the stones to fight Chagaev, isn't it?

All Haye has to do is get vaccinated.

But he's afraid to fight anyone who isn't totally shot.

Haye's Valuev fight suggests Chag has a chance if he's in shape, altho the bout might not happen of course. If he can duck Chag, I can see Haye going for another oldie that would be easy to market, Holyfield maybe. Not a Povetkin or anyone too fresh. I predicted well in advance he would fight Fraudley so I think Holyfield is a likely shout for the Diva if Chag is ruled out.
