But what is even more funny is how Arum dissed Shane after he fought Floyd and then changed his story when he wanted to make the fight with Shane and Manny.

I'm not blaming Berto for him not getting the Manny fight, not at all.
You can make all the excuses you want, but Berto had an opportunity to take that option off of Manny's plate.

Look at Roy wanting Tito Trinidad. B-hop wanted Roy but knew his team was trying to get a money fight with Trinidad. So what did B-hop do? Take the bout, dominate him, and take that option away from Roy.

If Berto would have went out and Beat Shane, then he would be the clear choice but he would rather fight bums instead of legit champs. Just like he has an option to fight another good fighter in Collazo, Cintron etc but is going after Bailey.

It's pretty pathetic that you try to defend this dudes actions and yes it's Berto's own damn fault he got passed over. When you fight **** fighters, thats what happens.

          Sure.

But, I refuse to blame Berto for him not getting the fight. Does he need to step up his competition, yes he does. But we would be fools to think that he did NOT want to fight Manny this year as opposed to Shane fighting him.

What prevented Berto from pulling a B-hop and taking that option away?

Floyd is one of the best in boxing so losing to him isn't really that bad, but if he would went out and got dominated by Berto and Berto was an option......then Berto would have gotten the fight.

Where's the excuse? Given Manny's track record of late, there is NO definite that Manny would have fought Berto instead of Shane had Shane lost to Berto.

And over the last 30 years when have you been sure of any fighters next opponent?

                  Hilarious man.
Doesn't make a difference. The point I'm making is both Pacquiao and Mayweather have taken fights fans didn't particularly care for. I just find it funny though that Pacquiao's haters will discredit Pacquiao's wins over Cotto, Margarito, and Clottey as all those guys being "shot", when 1 or 2 fights prior those same guys were in the top 5 Welterweight rankings in Boxing with each owning a portion of the Welterweight titles within the last 2-3 yrs.

If it was Mayweather in Pacquiao's position, I have no doubt his fans would be praising each of those wins, which IMO would be more than justifiable.

Berto could have done more, but to me then they fight JMM maybe not because Manny hates JMM but still that would bring in a lot more green than a Berto fight. It would be more plausible though.

Even if Berto beat Mosley a year ago I doubt he gets the fight I would still think he would need a win or two. Or if he fought him when Mora did I would still say he would need a win or two just to build it up because people haven't really though about it.

I don't really care about that though Since I never thought Berto was getting the shot, and since he needs to burnish his dossier anyways. To me it works out well for all parties, Manny gets the big money fight now while Berto gets his name up for a possible big money fight down the road. to me that was the only reason they brought Berto up to set it up in peoples mind for down the road (if need be).

Mosley gets this shot because of economics. I mean, has he done anything recently to deserve a big bout except lose and look bad? Is that what it takes? Well if that's what takes then no, Berto didn't deserve the fight.
