  • The most underrated boxer on Boxingscene, Juan Manuel Marquez!!!!

Im pretty new to this website but I have been a boxing fan since way back! I have never seen a fighter as good being underrated and talked negatively about as much!! I hope people would understand that fighters like JMM only come around every decade or so. He is IMO Top 5 P4P right now in boxing but yet gets downplayed or talked about on here like he we was a class B fighter. He gave arguably the P4P number 2 or 3 , Manny PAcquiao, the two hardest fights of his career. He is the undisputed Ring lightweight Champion. He has only been convincinly beaten once by the P4P number 1, Floyd Mayweather. Oh and people say he cant fight above the lightweight division based on his only performance with Mayweather!! Come on!! I doubt anyone from lightweight to super welterweight would do any better!! The only thing JMM has to prove IMO before he retires is move up in weight and try to win a title at 140. He doesn not need another Pacquiao fight, He got a draw and controversial loss but hey if Pacquiao does not want to prove he is better than his arch nemesis than move on!! IMO he can win a title at 140 does not matter who he fight at that division!!!

This might sound arrogant and all but to me the most underrated boxer in boxingscene and just in boxing period is Anselmo Moreno.

Everybody on here ranks JMM pretty and is aware of his skills. People here talk about JMM. Moreno rarely gets any recognition at all.

They don't talk about Moreno because people are too busy dis*****g over meanigless bullcrap. Chemito is a really talented boxer but his lack of power is what has kept him on the shadows.

About Marquez it's sad that most of the Pacquiao fans have an ilogical hate against him. Calling a guy piss driker, peepee mouth etc and whinner is pretty ******ed. Once someone resorts to name calling, they have run out of real arguments.

Dude JMM is a HOF I have not really heard anybody talk bad about the guy,but I have heard people being realistic..JMM should not be at 147lb ever and he should move to 140lb and test the waters before jumping in a fight with Pac or Khan at those weights..JMM a great fighter a HOF fighter a living legend..But not everyone carries the weight well and I would hate to see him get outclassed as a result of weight and not his own skill set..

He's a dumbass.. So many opportunities that could have move his career to the next level that he passed up. Had he taken them, his career would have already surpassed Pac.

Have you ever thought maybe because Marquez never gave pacquaio his respect and all he does is try to belittle pacquaio's whole accomplishment.

I still like marquez, but i can see why alot of pacfans hate marquez with a passion. All this dude does is hate on pacquaio non stop.

Most pacquaio fans respect marquez skill....but just like they do against floyd, that they don't respect marquez the man.

JMM doesn't have anything to prove at lightweight. I'd love to see him try himself at jr.welterweight, he would be the first mexican with 4-division titles.

You guys have Pacquiao on a pedestal. Why do people need to show respect in boxing? Tyson never did it, Ali didn't either. You don't have to respect a boxer's persona. You guys take the sport too personal, like those wrestling fans who get really pissed off at some wrestler for playing their part. Disliking a boxer for his actions outside the ring is plain ****** IMO.

Marquez' jab at Pacquiao is that he believes he won both times. That's fine, a lot of people do too. Pacquiao's current wins always have something to belittle, so do Marquez'. Why would Pacquiao be the exeption?
