I, Danny Gunz will be accepting an online debate via the chat about the legitimacy of Shane Mosley as Manny Pacquiao's next opponent.

Since this is an open forum I will pick through a poll decided, after the challengers private message for debate, through NSB.

The topic will be "Is Shane Mosley a legitimate opponent for Manny Pacquiao."

The full topic of debate will be "Resolved: Manny Pacquiao the undisputed welterweight champion of the world and recognized pound-for-pound champion is picking legitimate opponents for his respective championship." My opponent for the debate will be arguing for the affirmative (Manny Pacquiao is picking legitimate opponents for his championship) and I will be arguing for the negative (There is no good data suggesting Manny Pacquiao is picking legitimate opposition for his championship).

All specific details (minutes on rounds, and types on rounds etc.) will be determined after an opponent is selected and agreed upon by both parties. A moderator can be determined before hand and a question and answer period if decided.

Why, what's wrong with Mosley? Did he get physically damaged from his fights against Margarito, Mayweather, Mora?

Against Mora, I thought Mosley won the fight, he can't do much when someone runs and don't want to fight. Mora should be banned from fighting again. There should be point deductions for running in boxing, let's say more than 4 backsteps in a row and you get a point deducted. This way so called boxers are forced to use actual boxing skills.

Against Mayweather, Mosley landed the most significant punches in round 2 of that fight, almost knocking Mayweather out. Is there anyone out there who actually, realistically thought Mayweather was going to lose to Mosley? Mosley did better than Marquez, who didn't win a single round. Me thinks if there was a Mosley Marquez fight, Marquez loses. Me thinks if there was a Mosley Berto fight, Berto loses.

And we all know what happened against Margarito.

i believe this is a money stay busy fight for pac,not a career fight.

it will be harder than people think,but pac will make it look easy,whilst working hard to make it look so.

shane should ideally have been made to prove hes not past it and come off a win before getting the fight.

but berto is a chump whos not proven himself vs anyone good,so he could have just been knocked out in the first round and been exposed.

marquez and the weight issue isnt too bad,both would come in at 145.with marquez staying 1457,pac 147 on the night of the fight.

but if marquez didnt do what he could to get the fight,even should have left gbp if he really wanted the fight!.

dont think any light welters are seasoned or big enough name wise to threaten pac,so no big takers there.

alverez might be one opponent if he faces someone really decent,same for berto if he sorts his act out.

really,just be thankfull pac is staying busy,taking regular exciting fights agiasnt powerful punchers with strong chins,and blame mayweather/marquez for pac having to hang around and fight clottey margarito and mosley.
