Well I am going to side with team tommy girl on this one, but not for the same reasons. He never had AIDS, thats for sure. Theres one of two things that have happened.

1. He has HIV, and the medicine has kept the levels theyt est for in the blood so low that its easy for him to get a false negative on certain days.

or, and my guess

2. Like Ozzie Osbourne, the drugs, most likely heroin destroyed his immune system. This lack of an immune system coupled with him admitting to "at risk" behavior caused for a positive test at a time when HIV was far more prevalent in the public psyche. Now your immunse system comes back somewhat, and when he isnt fighting, most likely he can pass an HIV test. However,In order to stay in any sort of shape he needs steroids, his testosterone levels have to be shot due to the roids he used for 2 decades, so he takes steroids and then cant pass a drug test. So he needs to find certain areas where he can fight where he doesnt have to take drug tests and opponents who dont care if a guy who might have HIV doesnt take a blood test.

So he wasnt abusing drugs. He wasnt cheating and taking steroids. He wasnt engaging in at risk behavior with women...because he admitted to all of that. The only person he has to blame is himself. If he didnt cheat, if he didnt use drugs, and he didnt engage in unprotected sex with multiple women, he wouldnt be in this situation.

Tell me, if Tommy Morrison is HIV free, then why has he not been licensed to fight in Nevada? Several years back Morrison stated that he would take a public blood test there (Nevada) with the media present to prove that he was disease free. To my knowledge he has not done this...

Moreover, why hasn't he been able to get a boxing license in the U.S.? Why hasn't he been fighting? And why, whenever there is news of an upcoming fight of his (in Oct, Nov he was supposed to fight in Washington State), for some reason it doesn't happen?

Because of the aforementioned reasons, I am skepitical (and so are a lot of other people) of him and his claims. He just doesn't come across as being forthright and upfront..

Feel bad for Tommy Gun for getting sick, you can blame him for the at risk behavior and all that but in his defense, AIDS just came on the scene at that time and prior to that the worst thing you got from such promiscuis behavior was syphillis which was curable by penicillin. Plenty of other athletes got it - Magic Jhonson is just one high profile example. But please just stop with this farce, even if Tommy didn't have AIDS, it's not like his comeback is anything but an attempt to get some cash, everyone knows he can't beat anyone now.

TommyGirl - Tell Tommy to come clean about his AIDS like did once before and be a spokesperson for it, go on Dr. Phil, write a book, etc. He'll make more money doing that than going through these farce fights. No one will give him a title shot and no one will buy a PPV to watch him. I wish him well though.

Whether right or wrong true or false? Uhh...not its true...he admitted he took roids and he shot up drugs. How can you say he was robbed of his career when his career was based on cheating? He then was robbed because he got either HIV or a false positive from the substance that he was using to rob other fighters of wins? Its a joke, its like the person who breaks itno a house and slips and lands on a knife and then sues the person who owns the house for leaving a knife there. He was a cheater and a liar and the only person he should blame is himself. Shouldnt have taken roids.
