All of you guys who think Marquez deserved the fight answer me one question Please if Mosley and Marquez fight who do you think will win. Yeah that's what thought you can't even imagine Marquez making it to the 4th round. If Margs, Cotto, Hatton, Oscar, And even Clottey got a shot a Pacquaio Shane deserves one plus Marquez already had 2 shots and failed!Comment

Anyone who believes that Arum ever seriously intended to negotiate a fight with Marquez, has drunk the Top Rank koolaid. Back in late November, when Marquez was fresh off his victory over Katsidis, fight fans were buzzing over a potential Pac-Marquez trilogy. Meanwhile, Arum's response to them was a big FU:
“I don’t worry about who the bloggers think is the best opponent,” Arum admitted. “I really don’t care what the writers say or even what the hardcore boxing followers say when it comes to this. I know we need to pick the opponent who is the most familiar to the casual sports fan, the casual boxing fan who cannot name all the fighters.”

JMM deserved to ask for more against Pacquiao because he will play a part in selling the PPV. They already have the built in history and record for the most PPV's sold for a fight under 130. Pacquiao-Marquez II sold 400K
JMM got almost 25% of the guaranteed money against Mayweather (Mayweather was guaranteed $10M) and that was only because it was uncertain as to how much the fight would actually sell or he might've gotten more. Pacquiao gets guaranteed more than $15M, if we were to stick to what he got against Mayweather, $5M is around what he should get.
Arum had Mosley locked in, since right after the Margarito fight when Mosley went to Top Rank and told him he wasn't with GBP anymore. I remember a tweet around November that was posted on here, when Mosley wasn't even thought of as the primary option, where he said he was going to fight Pacquiao and plenty called him crazy. Mosley was always the option.Comment

Pacquiao makes more with Mosley then with piss drinker so whats the point of argueing? Also he already beat old pee breath twice.Comment

most of them cant come up with a real argument besides saying piss drinker this or he got less with wifebeater that. all this back and forth talk between JMM and arum is crap. if JMM really wanted the fight, he wouldve said he lowered his asking price, and arum, well he is the biggest scum since don king. the day manny says 'i want JMM' is the day we see it, until then, im convinced they don't want it and it isnt gonna happen, even with all the bs arum/roach/koncz will talk.Comment

I'll never take Arum's word over Juan Manuel Marquez. Arum is a scumbag, lies about everything to put his dirty tactics in a good light. He's even been known to bribe people to get what he wants. JMM is one of the most respected fighters, and one of the best human beings in boxing. Takes care of his kids and family, religious(doesn't flaunt it as a selling point like other fighters), he's very well educated(was an accountant, i believe he finished his degree and worked for a year in that field) which he mentioned he loved to go to school, calls it like it is all the time, no BS.
Arum is a scumbag just like all the other promoters. He's a known Briber, and was whilling to admit that he would tell people about ODH's illegal substance use when he was in Top Rank, IF he continue to call out Manny Pacquiao in the same thing. ARUM IS A SCUMBAG JUST LIKE DON KING, ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT HE'S A HARVARD EDUCATED CROOK AND COVERS HIS TRACKS.
^Here's Interesting read on Bob Arum. After reading this link i provide, what a coincidence that Marquez offer was a "fight Is a done Deal".Comment
