      Why not Agustus?

It would be a better draw, a more exciting fight, and you know my man is ready to go.

I'm telling you right now. Cotto does not need that fight......WAY too much risk. For one...the general public does not have an understanding of him as a fighter and would expect him to be another victim: Die hard boxing fans know different.

        Big Risk--Low Reward.

But being a risk really shouldn't be an excuse...

I know what you're saying, I think he might give Cotto hell (he embarassed Trajillo)

It's just ****ty for Augustus is all.

The guy's exciting, and he deserves a shot just as much as a guy like Branco.

The only word to describe Augustus in the ring is "psychopath". The guy fits the mold of prizefighter, and I agree that he deserves a shot as much as Branco. I still say if I were Cotto's management.....he is Off limits. No way Jose.

Witter, Mitchell, or even Bojado......not him.

And I'm still not sure if Bojado would be a smart choice.

Augustus will play the role of spoiler if they meet.

And Augustus has nothing to gain. And Cotto has everything to lose.

I see many here saying that Cotto has no chance against Augustus. How come? The fight could be tough but of course Cotto should be a slight favorite. Not the other way around.

I like Cotto. I just see the fight as wrong. Totally wrong.

I don't mean to give the impression that I think Augutus would certianly beat Cotto,

                    Cotto is a great fighter.

Augustus is just a very frustrating guy to fight, who has played spoiler to many inexperienced fighters.

As I mentioned earlier, see how he nearly shut out Alex Trujillo.

I too think it would be a bad move on Cotto's part to fight Augustus on short notice, because that's Augustus' thing. He's not stranger to taking fights on short notice.

I just really enjoy watching Augustus, and think he's a great fighter who's had a rough life and career. His entire career he's taken fights on a few days notice.

He's looked great lately, has some solid wins, and is becoming popular on TV.

I'd just like to see him get a good payday and a title shot.

He's said he's willing to fight Hatton in the UK at his mom's house, and is obsessed at getting a rematch with Floyd.

I am so glad Branco got injured it was a lousy fight Gatti made him look good. Junior Witter should be the ideal choice he talks a lot of wanting to fight Hatton now step up to the Plate and fight cotto.

No doubt they will say he has not had enough time to prepare. What I do not understand about supposed professional boxing is if this is your career like a plumber. You expect to get fights at short notice that is why you always stay in shape
