Not sure if that offer is still on the table.

Because Mr Haye has put his foot down. "Fight Chisora and I will never fight you!" Wlad meanwhile was scheduled to fight Derek last month, and is fulfilling his obligation. Maybe when Haye gets over his tantrum, the fight will still happen.

They can't sign contracts until after the Chisora fight. The WBA are making Haye fight his mandatory because he doesn't have a signed contract, he would have less time to prepare than Wlad for July 2nd. Wlad knew this and still signed to fight Chisora.

Makes sense; I wish Khan would just give up his spot in April.

I'm afraid you're wrong about that kiddo. Don't believe everything you read/hear, especially when it's coming from Haye.

How can they sign a unification fight when Wlad might not be champion (unlikely i know) when it happens? Haye only got cleared to skip his mandatory for a unification fight, not a possible one.

Same way Mayweather was signed to fight Judah (before he lost to Baldomir) and honored that commitment, even after Judah lost. And why should Haye care about a paper belt when given (another) chance to fight the real champ for his three (including the Ring.)

So Haye should let himself get stripped?

why would wlad negotiate to fight haye in july when he knew he was gonna fight chisora in may?

why would wlad negotiate to fight adamek instead of haye in sept?

why would haye refuse to fight wlad at all if the july 2nd date can't happen? I know he doesn't want to be jerked around, but wlad is gonna be his defining fight at HW.

can someone with common sense step in and try to re-negotiate the fight for sept?
As far as I understand if Haye does not sign Wlad, he will have to defend his belt in mandatory against Chagaev. Haye does not want it, for reasons known only to him, but your guess would be as good as anyone's.

BTW, its quite common for two fighters to sign to fight, but have a tune up in before the fight.
One of the more common examples would be DLH-Hopkins, they signed to fight each other, then DLH fought Sturm and Hopkins fought Allen before squaring up.
