Is it getting blasted by a 40 year old CW and then breathing on an oxygen tank or is talking **** about the Klitschkos for 3 years and then getting retired by them without even a fight? Or is it throwing 5 punches a round against a crippled Valuev who retired immediately afterwards to have 2 knee and 1 shoulder surgery? Maybe you think him getting warned by the ref for not throwing a single punch against Audley is his mia culpa. Either way, Haye has done UK and Cypress proud, you may retire now Mr. Haye, why wait until October, we know you won't fight the Klitschkos before then, hell, you won't even fight Chagaev before then.

Depends how you look at it. From a putting-his-name-on-the-radar point of view it's probably the Valuev fight. From a quality-win-that-can-be-appreciated-by-boxing-fans point of view it's probably the Mormeck fight followed by the Macca win (who was a pretty respected opponent at the time Haye fought him). -
Mormeck was old though and we know by now that Enzo was crap, and he didn't even defend after he unified 3 of the belts, he ducked Adamek, Cunningham, Lebedev, and just about anyone young and good at CW just like he did at HW.Depends how you look at it. imho, if haye retires in oct, he won't have much of a legacy and he will be nothing but a footnote.Comment

Yeah, I know Enzo turned out to be a can, but at the time Haye fought him he was pretty highly respected and someone who had legitimately earned his spot at the Cruiserweight title, so I'm not gonna give Haye too much grief for that one. Mormeck was old, yeah, but he was still a great fighter coming off a win over O Neil Bell, and Haye fought him under quite hostile conditions, got up off the canvas and knocked him out so again, I'm not gonna give Haye grief for that. Haye's run as a heavyweight has been garbage, you and I both know that, but he was a solid Cruiser with a good resume.Comment
