Just pointing out that Wlad - who has had three fights in the past two years, suddenly came up with this at the last second of the most lucrative fight of his career. Just silly.
I thought boxers need a tune-up in cases of inactivity.I was wrong then...

a lot of ******ation going on in this thread

why the **** would wladimir possibly want to wait around on haye, who has already backed out of 2 fights? why not fight april 30, make some cash, along with staying active? (therefore promoting the haye-klitschko fight even more, therefore HELPING the sport of boxing) wladimir is ducking because he is taking a stay busy fight? he is ducking because he is giving chisora a fight which he had to pull out of? give me a break.

if you were wlad, and haye had already backed out on you and your bro TWICE, would you really sacrifice millions of dollars which you could make in april, that way haye would HOPEFULLY not back out again? if haye wants the fight, it will get made. if he doesn't - it won't.

perhaps Haye should've fought wlad when he had the chance instead of backing out.

Yeah they do. And they don't realize it two days before they're about to sign to fight someone else.

Fair enough, but isn't Haye one of the reasons Wlad (who usually fights 2 to 3 times a year) only has 3 fights in the last two years? Because it certainly looked to me like he destroyed 2009 for him by pushing him from March all the way back to late June (and then pulling out.)

If he's one of the reasons, what are the other ones?

That makes no sense. You're acting like the Chisora fight just came out of the blue. Wlad always had an obligation to Chisora. I assume he realised it when Haye rejected the April date.

In the middle of negotiating with Haye for that date, he "realized" he had an obligation to fight someone else. Got it.
