A mandatory against Chagaev that Wlad already destroyed in 2009? Retire now Hayefaker, you vagina, then your name can live on in infamy.

One thing I haven't heard explained yet: the only reason Haye is under such "pressure" because of Wlad's decision to fight Chisora is that he supposedly has to stick to some silly "retirement deadline" that exists only in his own mind at the end of the year.

Why does he HAVE to retire at age 31? He should be in his prime as a HW.

If you don't accept this false "deadline" for retirement, Haye's outrage begins to look silly. He is putting all the pressure on himself by insisting on this retirement thing, and the K-Bros are just using it to their advantage.
Self-imposed or not it's a condition attached to Haye, to throw it out is arrogant, foolhardy, spiteful and makavellian.

I like Wlad and pick him to knock out Haye 9/10 times but this is all very ugly. Ultimately, it points to a lack of ambition on Wlad's part - here is an opponent who has a bit momentum, a big mouth and an ability to sell a fight - and he is finding exit strategies.

Not good for Wlad. No defining fight for Wlad. Just a champion in a weak era knocking over overmatched opponents to polite German applause.

Hayes best fight at heavyweight was probs againt Monte Barrett or John Ruiz!

        Its laughable
i agree. the funny thing is, there are other "fighters" who can also retire right now, and won't be missed. i won't say any names.

Hayemaker have spun it in the media as if Wlad has some obligation to work around Haye's schedule.

Haye brings media hype but he doesn't bring fights, he's too busy enjoying celebrity to make meaningful fights. Good riddance when it comes, hopefully at the fists of either Klitschko.

Honestly I'm more excited about Haye's retirement than him fighting a Klitschko at this point.

I don't think so, not an obligation anyway. But the fact remains, Haye's retirement is clearly no joke, he's been ****ing on about it for a decade or so, so there is very little point in him going quiet on the subject now, when it is most relevant. The time for this fight to be made has nearly run out, If Wladimir wants to fight him, he needs to do so quickly. Haye has said a number of times (including on national radio this morning) that if the fight can't be made he will just have to accept it and move on with his life.

The Klitschkos should just wait until October or whenever Haye planned to retire and then let's see if Haye really retires without a big payday. If Haye then does not retire his status will be upgraded from undisputed idiot to legendary idiot hahahahaha.

Let's be fair to Wlad here. Wlad said he would fight Chisora on April 30 and then Haye on July 2(which happens to be a date before his retirement). Haye was the one who didn't accept it, so why is he crying?
