Comments Thread For: Chisora Shreds Haye: Go Retire, Boxing Won't Miss You!

Undefeated Dereck Chisora is tired of hearing David Haye's mouth. The WBA champion is upset with Wladimir Klitschko's decision to defend his WBO/IBO/IBF titles against Chisora on April 30 in Germany. Chisora has dared Haye to involve himself in a four man doubleheader, with Chisora facing Wladimir, and Haye fighting older brother, and WBC champion, Vitali Klitschko in the co-feature. Chisora told Haye to move forward with his plan to retire by October because the sport of boxing won't miss him.

I like Chisora's idea. I''d rather see Davey fight Vitali anyway.

One thing I haven't heard explained yet: the only reason Haye is under such "pressure" because of Wlad's decision to fight Chisora is that he supposedly has to stick to some silly "retirement deadline" that exists only in his own mind at the end of the year.

Why does he HAVE to retire at age 31? He should be in his prime as a HW.

If you don't accept this false "deadline" for retirement, Haye's outrage begins to look silly. He is putting all the pressure on himself by insisting on this retirement thing, and the K-Bros are just using it to their advantage.

The Zimbabwean woman-beater has it right, no one will miss the fraud Diva, he should just retire now. Diva already said she doesn't want to fight the Klitschkos after throwing a little temper tantrum like the queen that she is, so what else can she offer her fans before October? A mandatory against Chagaev that Wlad already destroyed in 2009? Retire now Hayefaker, you vagina, then your name can live on in infamy.

Haye and Booth came to a decision when they first turned pro that they would make as much money out of the game as they could and retire when he hits 30. He has already extended this until his 31st birthday. He wants to leave the sport with all his faculties intact, having seen so many of his friends end up showing the mental scars of a career in boxing, and doesn't want to break the promises he he has made to his family.

Frustrating for us fans, but when you look around the British boxing scene you can see where he is coming from.

To be fair Chisora doesnt even deserve a shot at the world heavyweight title. But, he does have a point - Haye has done nothing of note at heavyweight except use his mouth to talk himself into big fights lol

Hayes best fight at heavyweight was probs againt Monte Barrett or John Ruiz!

                Its laughable

So he already broke the promise to fight on past 30, are you telling me now that he should "honor" that self-imposed broken promise over the promises he has made to his fans for the past 3 years to beat both Klitschkos? If Diva was quite this whole time, that would be ok, but the only reason why we are even talking about him is because of his boasting and t-shirts about the Kltischkos.
