Wasn't there an article just a couple of weeks ago of JMM saying that Guerrero was nowhere on their radar?
Anyway, of the options I would love to see JMM vs Kahn first, and JMM vs Maidana second. Guererro would be a good fight but he doesn't really bring in the money that JMM is looking for, so it's probably not a real option at this time.
However, realistically I don't see a JMM/Kahn fight getting made anytime in the near future because their negotiations will still have the same problems it did the last two times. Especially since Kahns win over Maidana, I don't expect that he's gonna be willing to give JMM any more $$$ then he did last time, maybe even less now. JMM vs Maidana would be awesome and might actually be the easiest to be made because (besides the fact that they're both warriors) they don't have as much of the diva complex (Kahn), they both have a bigger fan base (then Guerrero) and people will definately want to see it.
Personally I could see Juan beating Maidana more convincingly then Kahn did. He wouldn't make the same mistake Kahn did and abandon the body work. That still perplexes me to this day and I can't for the life of me understand why Kahn didn't follow up the liver shot that put Maidana down - with unrelenting body work. IMO he could have ended the fight by K.O. in the 2nd round had he done that. Maidana has shown that he can be hurt to the body and JMM does some of the best bodywork in the business. Juan pretty much out skills Maidana in every department, but Chino has the power and that never die attitude that will always make him dangerous in any fight. I think Juan would also have a very good chance of beating Kahn - he's more accurate then Maidana, is an incredible counter puncher, and unlike Maidana - I can't see him gassing out or unable to finish Kahn if he gets him hurt. Juan is a great finisher when he has his opponent hurt, and very accurate in his on-slaught. If he can withstand the barage of jabs and punches from Kahn in the first couple of rounds and puts in the early and unrelenting body work he's known for, he could wear down Kahn and eventually get to his chin. JMM, I believe, would be a truer gage of how "improved" Kahns chin really is. This is really the most intriguing fight to me and I think JMM will be a much harder fight for Kahn then Maidana was (IMO).
But, his next opponent will more than likely be Erik Morales. It's not a horrible fight to be made, just a long time past being great.
